Achievements

We started to work together with video2brain back in 2002. Initially, we developed the software that was running on the video training DVDs that video2brain produced in Graz/Austria and distributed through various publishing houses. At some point, however, the time came to start making the DVDs available online, so we began to create a web platform that made this possible. That included everything from UX/UI design to frontend, backend and CMS development as well as hosting.
At first, the DVDs could be purchased online and they would then be shipped to the user’s homes. video2brain soon realized that this business would scale better as an online video platform and added online courses along with their DVD sales. This meant that we needed to build an entire video platform, including video player development and video delivery via streaming services.

“Parkside has been instrumental in building up video2brain. We could focus on the content and they designed and developed our platform and all the applications we needed.”

After going international by expanding into the French, Spanish, Japanese and English speaking market, we also added subscription possibilities as the next major feature. video2brain quickly became the market leader in Europe and after the success of the iPad, we started with our first mobile app for video2brain. Clearly, users liked watching online classes on the go, which also compelled us to develop Android and iPhone versions. After Microsoft introduced Windows 8, we further followed up with an app for Microsoft’s tablet platforms.
